Marion Young Professionals

By MarionMade! on October 1, 2018

Get Connected with Marion YoPro

There are MarionMade! people all around us, and Marion YoPro is one of many community groups that bring those people together. Marion YoPro (Young Professionals) is a group of individuals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who work or live in Marion County. The YoPros have three primary goals: connecting professionals with their peers, offering opportunities to develop professionally, and connecting people to the community through volunteering and other activities.

You might see YoPro members volunteering at different community events, such as Third Thursdays, or some of the different booths at the Popcorn Festival. If you find yourself out on the town for lunch or dinner, Marion YoPro meets at a different restaurant for dinner on the second Wednesday, and for lunch on the third Wednesday, every month. You can support a local business while relaxing outside of the office!

YoPro members come from all different sectors, including business, nonprofit, and others.  Many of our members had the good fortune to be a part of the Chamber of Commerce leadership program, and those community action values are reflected in our mission. Ultimately, this mission is to build connections across different professional sectors, and in doing so, diversify our community interactions and engagement. Marion YoPro is all about making Marion County a place where we can all live, work, and play!
