Marion resident Jazz Securo released his first independent feature film, a psychological thriller now streaming on Amazon Prime and Google Play. “Thy Will Be Done” was filmed in Marion and Delaware Counties.

National Stars

“Thy Will Be Done” tells the story of Stefani Bennett, a clairvoyant detective assigned to a complex rash of deaths. She is played by Detroit actor Callie Bussell, whom Securo praised for her talent.

The film also features an all-star cast, including former Olympian and professional wrestler Kurt Angle, actor Courtney Gains from “Children of the Corn” and Doug Bradley, best known for his role as Pinhead in the “Hellraiser” films.

Jazz Securo’s Career

Though this is Jazz’s directorial debut, he is no stranger to the screen.

“I have been in other films — ‘Foxcatcher‘ with Channing Tatum and Steve Carell and ‘Kickboxer‘ with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Mike Tyson,” he said. “This is my directorial debut and first time producing a full-length feature film.”

Landing big names was a matter of determination.

“It started with one star then just grew from there,” Jazz said. “There’s no real secret or formula. Persistence pays off. I set goals then try to find ways to reach them, one by one.”

Locally Produced

The production stayed close to home.

“The film was primarily filmed in Marion, Ohio, and we added a few locations in Delaware, Ohio. That’s it,” Jazz said. “We filmed it over the summer and early fall of 2023.”

The process was both rewarding and daunting.

Jazz Securo’s Proudest Accomplishment

“This was without question the greatest undertaking of my life,” Jazz said. “I really had no idea how much was involved in making a feature film. Reaching the goal, completing the film, and it being released internationally makes me very proud.”

Directing while also performing was no easy feat.

“Every stage of filmmaking is very challenging, especially when you set standards very high,” he said. “The most challenging aspect for me was trying to wear so many hats. Directing and acting in the same film is VERY challenging. I was warned but I’m stubborn.”
Jazz credits his team for making the film possible.

Doug Bradley rose to fame as Pinhead in the “Hellraiser” movies.

“I must mention my cinematographer, editor, mentor and friend Greg Kraus. He believed in me and the project from day one,” Jazz said. “He worked harder on this film than anyone else. I know I can’t get into it too deep, but the cast, crew, and producers of this film really deserve all the credit. Please check them out in the credits.”

Securo Loves Being MarionMade!

Though raised in West Virginia, Jazz has called central Ohio home for decades and Marion home for the past eight years. He added that the community proved skeptics wrong.

“I was told again and again that I would not find the support I needed to complete an international feature film in Marion,” Jazz said. “The community came together and backed me. Good people sacrificed and helped make my vision a reality. Please honor them by renting, buying and watching ‘Thy Will Be Done.’”

Jazz said he enjoys the balance his hometown provides.

“I can breathe in Marion,” he said. “I relate to the people here and I hope they relate to me. My work takes me to many places, but Ohio is where I choose to live.”

Jazz debuted the film at the Republic Theatre in at the Marion Centre Mall in the spring and just released it to streaming audiences this fall.

Upcoming Projects

The filmmaker and actor is also a combat sports announcer for Mixed Martial Arts fights. Looking ahead, Jazz said more projects are on the horizon.

“I have a few irons in the fire,” he said. “I announce for Dana White and the UFC Contender’s Series on ESPN. I also announce for Real American Freestyle on Fox Nation. It’s a new freestyle wrestling league that features real competitive wrestling. It was started by the late Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.”

How to Watch
