The Royal Group

By MarionMade! on July 17, 2017

THE ROYAL GROUP.
.
From its humble beginnings as a manufacturer of pallets and wooden boxes in the early 1900’s, Royal has grown into one of the largest independent manufacturers of corrugated products and distributors of packaging supplies in the world. The Royal Group has been trying to gain more of a presence and build our reputation in the Marion area working with and supporting local companies. The Royal Group Marion worked closely with the community and, in 1995, was the pilot facility of the newly developed Airport Industrial Park that they are now located within. This helped pave the way for Silverline and other businesses within the park. In fact, the city utilized their current conference room for the final negotiation with Silverline. They were also a staunch supporter of Marion CanDo during the organization’s infancy years. Marion CanDo was integral in not only the development of the Airport Industrial Park but was a leader in attracting business to the Dual Rail Industrial Park on the west side of Marion.
.
The Royal Group has also supported the Marion Popcorn Festival in a variety of ways over the last 30 years, as well as being a supporter of United Way of Marion County with not only employee donations, but employer contributions as well. They’ve also been a strong supporter of MARCA over the years. They have used them for several projects and, in fact, had directly hired a couple of their individuals. Management from The Royal Group had served on the MARCA Board at different times during the last 20 years.
.
The Royal Group Marion has been a facility that has embraced the concept of employing locally. The facility has employed over a thousand workers over the years with primary emphasis of being Marion County.
