Rob Vance

By MarionMade! on July 31, 2018

Rob Vance started his business — Rob’s Hauling Services — from scratch more than 25 years ago in Marion. That alone is a wonderful thing; but, it’s the things that Rob does outside of his job that made him a MarionMade! story.  Just this last weekend, he worked to make sure his neighborhood’s front yards, around the 400 block of North Prospect, looked maintained by hiring some extra labor and getting out himself to clear the waist-high weeds growing in several yards.

But, that is just one thing Mr. Vance does to be a wonderful citizen. He and his wife have fed the less fortunate in his neighborhood, he donates his equipment to organizations like Safety City, and he recently helped a young man who had been beaten by the young man’s family member, seek help from the police. And, he is hoping to do more.

This is a picture of Rob Vance with his nephew’s son, Brody, stopping by to visit MarionMade! It was great to meet them!

It is stories like this, which make us proud to live in a community where people like Rob Vance think of others that need our help every day. Do you know a person that does something that makes our county a little bit better? Share their photo and couple of sentences with us at info@MarionMade.org
