Royal Family Kids Camp

By MarionMade! on March 8, 2018

A Camp That Changes Lives

For the last 16 years, Royal Family Kids Camp has been serving the abused and neglected children of Marion County. RFKC is a national organization and their goal is to have a local camp in every county in the United States. The RFKC mission is to change the lives for children suffering abuse. Each year, 50 children that have open cases with Children Services get to attend camp. The camp provides normal camp activities like swimming, games, and fishing, but what makes this camp even more special is the added bonuses these children will get. Unpaid volunteers take a week off to ensure that every child is getting extra attention. The camp even hosts birthday parties for every camp member, and for some campers, this is the only time they’ve had a birthday celebrated. Also, the camp members get new outfits, every day, from the camp “stores.” RFKC goes above and beyond to give these children a week they’ll never forget. Local businesses and churches contribute to the camp financially and with volunteers to make this all possible. Check out the Royal Family Kids Camp Facebook page to see how you can get involved!
