Kingston

By MarionMade! on August 23, 2017

KINGSTON RESIDENCE OF MARION.

“I began working at Kingston as an Aide in 2003. While working at Kingston, I attended Marion Technical College and earned my RN degree in 2008. Since 2014, I have been the Director of Nursing and love each day I come to work. Not only are the residents and families enjoyable to work for, but the staff and company are top notch, too. I am thankful each day for working in such a wonderful place,” said Rachel Rigsby, Director of Nursing.

In 1989, Kingston HealthCare Company was founded on the simple notion that outstanding people, gathered for a common good, can make a tremendous contribution by helping people age with dignity and respect. From the onset, Kingston wasn’t setting out to just create retirement living, but communities of caring. Today, there are eight senior living communities and six skilled nursing and long term care facilities serving elderly residents, patients and their families in four states.

Kingston Residence of Marion opened in 1996. We value the virtues of honesty, sincerity, respectfulness and concern for our residents and patients who reside with us. The Kingston family of employees embodies these values to create a healthy and positive environment that delivers peace of mind, safety, and encouragement to every resident, patient and family member.

You can tell right away when you walk into our community that Kingston is some place special. Residents, patients and family members say they chose Kingston, not only for the extraordinary look of the facility, but because it “just felt right.” We attribute that to our employee-focused culture and practicing the Kingston Approach–our guideline for meeting resident expectations.

Kingston believes in giving back to the community by supporting senior events and businesses and organizations that serve seniors. The annual Boomer and Senior Expo held at Kingston draws well over 300 seniors from Marion and surrounding counties. We co-sponsor Senior Day at the Marion County Fair to give seniors a fun day of music, food and games. Kingston residents make craft gifts to be given to Mobile Meals seniors.
