ECO Center, LLC (ECO) has filled a unique niche in the community since Fall 2014. We have hosted annual community Earth Day events, fall festivals, Phobia Haunted Trail, Summer Day Camps, and over 30 educational field trips. ECO has received support from the Ohio Department of Natural Resouces, Ohio EPA, and DKMM and has been awarded and recognized as the 2015 Keep Ohio Beautiful’s Green Business, 2016 River Valley FFA Valued Employer, and the 2017 Upper Olentangy Watershed Conservation Local Business category. Our mission is to provide safe, fun, outdoor experiences through environmental education and hands-on learning opportunities.
ECO participates in after-school programs, Saturday in the Park, as a donor to Marion Chamber of Commerce auction, and partner for Marion County Park District. We have been able to offer field trip transportation subsidies to local schools. ECO represents a clean, safe, educational facility for Marion community, schools, and families. We host science-based field trips tailored for teacher’s curriculum needs deriving lessons from STEM-approved resources.
ECO thanks the support from local businesses, organizations, and individuals such as Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative, Morral Companies, Hessler’s Screen Printing and More, Peacock Water Company, Tags Thrift Store, Tri-Rivers Career Center, and Del-Co Water. An amazing mentor and friend has been Angie Carbetta from Marion County Recycling and Litter Prevention. We are grateful for local families attending our events and reoccurring business clients such as Marion YMCA, United Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Marion Church of the Nazarene, Girl and Boy Scouts, and school districts. ECO takes great pride in being a leader in our industry and continues to network and develop partnerships in and outside of Marion County. We host school field trips from Morrow, Richland, Crawford, and Knox Counties and are an active member of Morrow County Chamber of Commerce.
